The “To My Polacy” campaign was created as a result of a collaboration between Ogi Ugonoh and Ramat Musa (including Afrykamera). The campaign aims to deepen the discussion about racism in Poland and draw attention to the everyday manifestations of racism that Black and African people experience in our country. We hope that the campaign will not only raise awareness of the prevalence of racism in Poland but also stimulate reflection on how we can collectively counter racism.
As a social problem, racism affects us all, albeit in different ways. Therefore, the campaign’s key messages – “To My Polacy” and “This is Our Family” – emphasize our shared responsibility for combating racism and prejudice against Black and African people.
The campaign promotes the slogan #NORacism, calling for public opposition to racism and support for the Black and African community in Poland. By saying #NOtoracism you declare that you also do not want racism to divide us and that you do not agree to all forms of violence based on skin color.
