Reliable, Accessible and Competent

These are the words we would like our direct support work to be associated with.

Our Direct Support Team is reliable and accessible. We are on-call seven days a week. On issues related to legalization of stay and work in Poland, our team benefits from a long-standing cooperation with our legal advisor. We are also supported by partner organizations that specialize in topics relevant to our communities, including especially immigration law.

We strive to consistently raise our knowledge and skills. Our team regularly attends trainings and workshops to raise gain new information and practice the skills needed to be responsible, ethical and resilient in this work. We benefit from the expertise of partner organizations who have offered bespoke trainings on a wide range of topics related to providing direct support.

Direct support work is not glamorous or easy to document in pictures because it is often focused on the most vulnerable.
The below images give a sense of this work and of our approach.
